We stumbled on this railroad cart and it was stamped with N.Wilksboro, NC on it!  We knew with a little elbow grease and powerwashing it would make a great coffee table!  TaDA!!

Front door before, and now the pizza delivery guy has a new front door to welcome him!

We are finally in!  The front porch was restructured to look a bit more inviting, and this is what met me on my first drive home from work!  I think I am gonna like it here!

OMG! It really IS like a pedicure!! I wonder if Durango will get a leg massage too!!

Lollipop lollipop, oh lolly-lollypop…..Lesson #3: How many licks does it take to get to the center of a “salt block”? Apparently when a horse is dehydrated, you want them to lick salt so they will DRINK more water…. Hum, makes sense.

Lesson #2: actually there were multiple lessons this week. I learned how to feed the horses, which for some may seem mundane but they intimidate me, they are HUGE animals and scare me! I did learn, however; feed is the bomb and Durango MUST be fed first or he snorts at Bailey and pushes her out of the way… Pig. I learned that on Wednesday the two of them get PEDICURES! Now we’re talkin!! Their pedicurist is Ferrier… Mine is Lin. I wonder what color they will like. And finally, ending lesson tonight: stray, wild cats SCRATCH! I may need a tetanus shot; that, or a blood transfusion.
